You need to join a fitness center (do abb work and cardio (not muscle building)) , ride your bike everywhere, or go running every other day for an hour…good, take all the crap out of your diet…eat veggies…drink LOTS OF WATER…and take a variety of vitamins.

Its a very attainable goal to lose 30 pounds in 4 months. You need to educate yourself on how your body and metabolism work first. You can lose that kind of weight without having to do a fad diet. You are going to need to be in shape for the military, you might as well start here. Build yourself an exercise plan that has weight training and cardio, personally when I started I did a 6 day-on 1 day-off plan which alternated weight workouts with cardio every other day. You need to build a meal plan consisting of 5-6 small meals per day that average out to be less than the amount of calories you burn per day so that you create a deficit, but also keep your metabolism stoked. 1. If what you are eating has less than 1 carb, count it as 1 carb just to be sure.
2. Totally avoid caffine at least for the first two weeks on the program.
3. Drink a MINIMUM of 8 glasses of plain water or seltzer daily.
