I’ve been suffering from constipation for years, I’ve tried every fiber supplement on the market and even several prescription ones and nothing seems to work for me. I was on Zelnorm and it seemed to work ok but it was recalled. Now I am on Miralax twice a day and it works a little but I’m usually always miserable with cramping, bloating and gas. Not long after I eat I’m not feeling well. I was doing some research on line about the colon cleanse but I wanted some advice from someone who has actually tried one. The product I’m going to try is Bowtrol.
Has anyone ever tried a colon cleanse?

One of my friends had it done professionally and said it was great for a few months and then she was back to being constipated again. She then started working on major diet changes and she’s been better since.
A little article from Mayo clinic you may find useful: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/colon-cleansing/AN00065
Diet changes: If you decide to try a non-medication route, I’d suggest trying the Activia yogurt – try 2-3 cartons a day for the first week. Increase your water – drink 10 to 12 glasses a day. Stay away from highly processed foods. Try getting your fiber from fruits and vegetables.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!!
Try address some of the basic causes of constipation:
Imbalance of bacteria in colon:

As a jump start, you may want to try a colonic that is professionally done. Sometimes an underlying cause of chronic constipation is yeast overgrowth in the intestines.
The yeast uses up the water and leaves hard dry stool that contributes to constipation. If the you see what looks like a small snow storm in the water, it’s yeast. The person doing the colonic can recommend a diet and supplement to help kill the yeast off. Also, the colonic itself, will help to wash yeast out of the colon.
There is a product that you need to try for sure. I have been taking it for about 5 months and it has been great for my digestive problems. It helps boost your antioxidants that help your body heal itself and be more healthy. It will help you for sure. Here is the website:

You will love it. Take Care.
The suggestion for probiotics might be helpful. Colon cleansing is major Bulls**t. Not recommended for anyone. It is just quackery for the most gullible people out there. Save your money and avoid this crap.
Try eating no meat for a couple of weeks. It takes meat longer to digest than anything else. Eat as many raw fruits and vegatables as you can. This is the best natural way to fix your digestion problem. In the future, eat smaller meat portions.
You don’t need an enema. Both liquid chlorophyll and apple cider vinegar are good colon cleansers.
In the search for questions slot type in constipation + “natural remedies” and you will get at least 26 results.
I can recommend Bowtrol. It works for constipation and it does not have any harmful side effects. Have a look at this blog which is a diary of someone doing a colon cleanse. You can follow the links on there to find out more about Bowtrol. I hope this helps. Good luck!
