There is absolutely NO medical value in cleaning your colon. In fact, you can give yourself a nasty infection or die from a fatal electrolyte imbalance.
A good clean can prevent cancer because certain gunk can buildup.
They not only dehydrate you but take away nutrients. Most of the vitamins/good stuff is absorbed in the intestins, so for awhile, you won’t be able to get much value out of food. I imagine it’s good to eat very healthy before doing something like that. Doctor enema. Take in mind I hadnt done it, so wouldnt know.
Not only does colon cleansing provide no benefit, it can be downright dangerous. Contrary to popular belief, the inside of the colon — the end of the large intestine — isn’t dirty and does not need to be cleaned out. Mother Nature does that on her own by making sure that waste passes through and out of your body, taking impurities with it. There is no medical reason whatsoever for having a cleansing enema. Enemas are only for treating stubborn constipation and for preparing the colon for a test (for example, a barium enema) or for surgery. If you want to flush out impurities from your body, have another glass of water instead.
I think the answer is in between. I’ve seen x-rays of colons that are full of the gunk of the wrong food being eaten over the years. It hardens and layers are added. Eventually, the colon gets all twisted. I’ve had enemas and colonics and with the colonics, I could actually see the difference between the feces coming out and this hard stringy stuff.
Same thing with a cleanse I did. I clearly could see the difference between the two, so I knew it was working.
Now as to your concerns. I don’t think dehydration is the issue, unless you ignore your thirst. Most cleanses specifically state to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day in addition to the cleanse.
I think the big concern is in not restoring the colon and intestines to their normal balance. This is where the cleanse should indicate that you need to restore the healthy digestive bacteria in the colong to accelerate it’s return to normal function.
there are good
but you have to drink a lot of water and follow the directions
